Being yourself in a fake world is not hard. Let’s discuss the worries of those who have discovered their true self.
Much of the world nowadays is shallow and phony. Fashion magazines, news articles, and social media posts don’t tell the truth. On the contrary, they tend to present a glamorous façade.

The majority of us are insecure about being ourselves in this world. We feel forced to wear a mask so that we can fit into a society with superficial values. We try our best to make ourselves appealing, and we try to be seen as successful and wealthy. We'd like others to believe we live an exciting life full of journeys, fancy restaurants, and never-ending parties. We are surrounded by people as if the big circle of friends we have is a sign of how much we are worth. We whine and complain about how busy we are as this is a proof of our significance.
Unluckily, the cost of fitting into modern society is stress, anxiety and sometimes even depression. When we don’t feel that we are good enough, we hide our true feelings and thoughts and try harder to fit in. We give up being ourselves for the sake of being adored. Nevertheless, we forget who we are during the process. It isn't possible to be satisfied with ourselves unless we know who we are, what we aim for and what will bring us happiness. But discovering these things means being ourselves and that can come at its own cost.
Every time we make significant changes in our lives, some of our friends become upset. That's because people are, generally, afraid of change, because it makes them feel insecure. Your family and friends worry that you might put your relationships in danger. Additionally, you being yourself might cause others fear that they're not real. Fake people will often try to prevent you from being real because they feel more secure hanging out with a person who is insecure as well. That's why you should remember that if you choose to be yourself, you might lose some friends and acquaintances. However, those who actually love you and care for you will encourage you to make the changes that will improve yourself.
We frequently forsake our plans for life because of a desire to please others. We want everyone around us to feel proud of us. Unluckily, this can affect us a lot, and we can end up living another person’s life instead of our own. So, if we decide that we want to follow our true path, then our friends and family may become disappointed in us or feel they are allowed to have a say. Especially our parents will feel like they have dedicated a lot of their time and energy in our lives and that we should live our lives as they've imagined them for us!
This means that rejecting our loved ones' views on us may disappoint them. It's not always because they don't care about us. Sometimes it's just their anxiety that changing ourselves might cause us discomfort. They think that they only know how we feel secure. But finally we only get one opportunity in this life, and our life is ours to do with as we want to. Indeed, we need to be caring for others, and we should be responsible towards our loved ones. Nevertheless, we shouldn't live our lives for other people. It's our decision whether we'll risk it or not. We should only listen to our dreams and goals.
one of the reasons we frequently try to fit in with society's trends is so that we feel like we belong somewhere. Being part of a group is crucial to all human beings. Unluckily, sometimes we feel like we don't belong, but that's not true. Some people wouldn't like to live by the rules and trends of society and have chosen to do their own thing. Historically, lots of people have tried to escape from a society where they could not be real, by even leaving their home country. Fortunately, it is easier for us to connect with people who think the way we do and have similar views on life. You're not the only person on Earth who feels lonely sometimes. You need to search in order to find people to whom you'll feel connected.
Deciding to be true to ourselves means risking the approval of others. Some mean people may even laugh at us and our dreams. They might call us names. They might blame us for foolhardiness, laziness or lack of responsibility. Unfortunately, we should deal with the fact that not everyone will approve our choices. We can’t continually please all of the people. We should remember that others may criticize because of their insecurities. Maybe deep down they realize they are not true to themselves. Others may genuinely disagree with our choices and beliefs. The thing is that all we can do is just be ourselves.
Despite the costs of being ourselves in modern societies, it is still worth the effort. There are many advantages to thinking deeply about who we truly are and what we desire our lives to be. We are most likely to become happy and finding joy if we deeply explore the things that make us glad. We have a better chance of being satisfied with our lives if we live them from our own perspective instead of pressuring ourselves to fit into a role that does not suit us. Honesty can give us freedom and independence to become our best, most creative and most joyful friends.
